Education and Science Workers’ Union (Eğitim Sen) is the only education trade union in Turkey that is a member of the Education Intenational (EI), of which 383 education trade unions from 178 countries are members. Education International advocate quality and free education as a universal human right, organizes campaigns related to both social and workplace issues as well as producing policies regarding the vocational training and professional values of teachers.
Egitim Sen cooperates with international trade union organization for a common struggle in many fields especially the labor and rights struggle in the field of education, freedom of organization, womens’ rights struggle, children’s rights, immigration, discrimination and ecology. In this context, joint conferences, panels, training workshops, joint activities against anti-democratic and capitalist policies developed againt the struggle for labor and rights are organized with international trade union organizations.
